Paintball Pistols Serve as Great Back-Up

Paintball pistols are a marker that most players prefer to use as a back-up gun. They are compact and can be stashed in a pocket, harness or holster. If you are in the woods or a field playing you will have a few valuable back-up shots. Paintball pistols can also be a quick, compact and quiet way to sneak up on a player before being seen yourself. Remember not to expect too much from paintball pistols because they are much smaller which means they hold fewer paint balls and shoot with less force.

The most common paintball pistols are the .68 caliber guns. The .68 caliber paintball pistols can typically give you about ten additional shots but with less power than your other guns, as well as less accuracy. The decreased amount of rounds you have to shoot is a result of the small CO2 powerlet on the gun. Paintball pistols have a single powerlet for shooting force as opposed to having an entire tank hooked up to it.

Some brands of guns have a new .40 caliber paintball pistol which is an improvement in all ways from the .68 caliber. .40 caliber paintball pistols can shoot about 100 paint balls with the single CO2 powerlet but they are still considered a back-up gun.
